Enamel & gold, Enamel & gold

Why is it that every human is born and is further encouraged to be, by his or her surroundings, overly and unnecessarily materialistic? I've already purchased and spent a lot of money on different things over this summer and yet I find myself attracted to so many other merchandise that I don't need at all, but I extremely want. To start off, and just to aid in keeping records since I usually don't realize when a personal belonging disappears/is stolen due to the massive inventory of "stuff" i keep here, I will blog about what I've bought since my return to the Philippines:

- Kryptonite green mother-of-pearl Toywatch watch
- Plum/Violet Balenciaga covered flats
- I asked a friend of mine, who already kindly did, to buy me a purple American Apparel long-sleeves v-neck top. She bought me a purple pull-over that acts exactly like a top though so no biggie.

In addition, my mother recently allowed me to wear my gold bracelet with studded diamonds out AND! finally, in school. I've had it since I was about 9 years old and the bracelet still fits perfectly. It was a gift from my grandma who adores jewelry. As a 9 year old, I was already heavily deepening pockets!

Anyway, i'm glad my little sister is catching up in terms of feet size. She's almost a 9! It's wonderful to have big feet when youre shopping in Europe. It's HORRIBLE when you're shopping in Asia. Specifically in Tokyo! Rarely do I find size 9 or 9 and a half in Tokyo as their feet sizes are too small! Only my big sister can fit into their miniscule size eights. Anyway, i might even be a 40! My mom's shoe size definitely fits me. WHICH IS GOOD cos she recently purchased a truckload of Lanvins and Balenciagas. Life is awesome. But again, I digress. What I really wanted to say was that my little sister recently purchased, in Tokyo, a pair of black Comme des Garcons (play) converse-esque sneakers that fit me perfectly. I love how the trademark red heart with eyes contrast with the pitch black color of the shoes as well. If there's anything in the WORLD i love, it's when designers collaborate with 1) equally awesome international designers b) high-end brands such as topshop, or other worthy brands/stores such as target and converse. Here they are:

My mom, being the worrywart mother she was, didnt want me wearing my old Y-3 sneaks to France. Who knows why ... she thinks once something's old it's no longer efficient. Anyway, i'm kinda glad she thinks that way because she bought me a pair of Fred Perry sneaks. Really nice, I love them, they're so comfy.

So, as I said, I want MORE. It's horrible, it really is. Even I think i'm getting a tad too materialistic! I am completely satisfied in terms of what i eat and what i get to do, but when it comes to what i buy .... crappers, i'm KSP in this field! So lately I've been enamored with enamel! Specifically the, no matter how old it is already, the hermes enamel gold bracelet! I prefer the narrow width over the wide width, but I have to try it on to compare the two. UNFAIR how there isn't a hermes in Manila! I could've easily bought it for a cheaper price in the Paris airport though, or even in Paris! 1) it was sale season 2) if ever, duty free! or tax return ... which i friggin didnt get to do with my miumiu black flats because the line was infested with hungry vulture-looking koreans and chinese who were wayyy overboard with the louis vuittons and diors (which are also coincidentally the most imitated luxury brands in the black market .. hardyharhar. I don't even like these brands). Anyway, I wonder if I should ask my friend to get it for me. It would be too much of a hassle though as the price is a hefty 510 dollars for the narrow one, and an additional 20 dollars for the wide width. We'll see, my mother said she could as her friend who is a flight stuardess(sp?) to get it for me instead, if i really wanted it. Here it is (i prefer it in orange-gold or red-gold):

If all else fails, there's always this lovely marc jacobs hinge bracelet that is enamel AND GOLD! I prefer the red one.

I also am wanting to change my school bag into this beautiful eley kishimoto limited edition for eastpak, i find it so cute! Problem is, I'm choosing not to buy it because I am still in love with my lilac-violet kipling backpack. What to do when you're the one stopping yourself? WHAT TO DO!

To end, I would just like to mention how obsessed I am with reading fashion blogs nowadays. If it's not reading actual books, or badminton-ing, or replying to emails. It's THIS:

- seaofshoes
-sassybella
-highsnobsociety

Wow, I've come to the end and I realized how lustful this post it. Tsktsk. I am off to sleep now, i still have badminton at 1 tomorrow. I can't wait 'till school stars. NO KIDDING. Even though I have a lot to do, summer's just a drag now. Some good news: My dad allowed me to chaperone for next year's french trip! Hopefully I would've done my shopping research by then so that I come home without regrets and with all my Euros intact ... erm .. gone.

On a side-note, just for keeps, I find myself idolizing the following: emma watson, jessica alba, gwenyth paltrow, and the last three, just for their style: nicole richie, katie holmes, and rachel bilson. I have SO MUCH to say about the first three. I do not idolize them cos of their fame, hotness, or gorgeousness. they are THE COMPLETE PACKAGE. enough said.

P.S. currently drooling over koot's green tea with tapioca (only in tokyo :( ) and red mango green tea yogurt with red beans. fuckkkkk i want some koots!
